FlyTracker Privacy Policy

FlyTracker ("the app") is built to need as little of your data as possible. We do not collect any information that identifies you personally.

What the app stores

• Anonymous app identifiers — a random installation ID and an anonymous CloudKit account identifier supplied by Apple. They are not your name, email address, or Apple ID login and are used only to keep app records separated.
• Your tracked flight list — the flight numbers you choose to follow, stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) under that anonymous ID so our server can send you status updates.
• Free-trial state — the start and expiration time of the one-time 24-hour trial. It is associated with the anonymous CloudKit account identifier so reinstalling the app does not restart the trial.
• Push notification tokens — device tokens issued by Apple, used solely to deliver flight alerts and Live Activity updates you requested.

What the app does NOT do

• No account creation, no email collection, no names.
• No access to your location, contacts, photos, or any device data beyond what is listed above.
• No advertising, no ad identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites.
• No third-party analytics SDKs.
• No sale or sharing of data with third parties.

Subscriptions

FlyTracker Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We receive a signed receipt from Apple to enable Pro features; it contains no personal information. Payment details never reach us. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Flight data sources

Live aircraft positions are provided by the adsb.lol community network (ODbL license). Queries for flight positions are made by our server, not from your device, and are not associated with you.

Data retention & deletion

Deleting the app removes its local cache. Flights you stop tracking are removed from iCloud automatically, and inactive installation records are periodically purged. The anonymous one-time trial record is retained after reinstall to prevent repeated trials. To request deletion of app data associated with your anonymous CloudKit account, contact us at the address below; we may ask you for an app-generated identifier so we can locate the record without learning your Apple ID.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
